About Me
Hi, my name is Steve Jones.
I have been a serious metal detecting enthusiast for around 10yrs. I specialize in the recovery of lost jewellery such as, rings, bracelets, keys, coins, watches, necklaces, in fact anything that contains some sort of metallic substance, even grandma’s hidden stash of money buried in the backyard 50yrs ago.
My Equipment:

Australia’s own Minelab detectors are known worldwide as being the best detectors money can buy. They are used by governments all around the world and are by far the most popular recovery units used by detecting professionals.
Land Recovery Detector: Minelab Explorer 2:
- Minelab – Explorer 2
Underwater Recovery Detector: Minelab Excalibur 2:

Land Recovery: (Beach – Parks – Gardens – Backyards etc)
If you’ve been at the beach and lost something, which is just about impossible to find in the sand, then you need me. Using a metal detector to find your lost item is your best chance. Maybe you lost a small precious item at the park or in your own backyard, I may be able to find it for you.
Underwater Recovery: (Surf – Dam – River etc)
I can also recover items lost underwater!! So If you’ve lost that precious wedding ring or bracelet etc, in a dam, in the surf or in a river, I can recover it for you.
DO NOT dig around in the sand, you will either bury your item deeper or worse let others know you have lost something in the sand. Just remember the approximate location and call me ASAP. For now my maximum working depth in water is 1.5m/5ft (Until I get my diving licence).
My Work Area:
I live on the south coast of NSW in Wollongong and I am happy to travel anywhere to help you recover your “lost loot”. Please click on my “Fees” link above to find out more about my call out and recovery costs.
So if you would like the best chance of recovering your precious item, click on my “Book Me” link and follow the instructions. Note: I have several contacts throughout Australia who provide the same services as I do, so if you live way out of my area or in any of the other states of Australia, have a look at my Blogroll menu links to the right, or contact me and I will pass on your details.
Good Luck,
Steve Jones
